I am a Nail Tech starting out to build my clientele. My salon is paying me 50% commission and I supply my?

acrylic and liquid. They supply everything else like for manicures and pedicures and polish. Is this a good deal? The salon wanted to give me $8.00 an hour but I asked for commission instead. In the past 3 weeks that I have worked I have made less than $200 total. Did I make a mistake asking for commission? Would it be an inconvenience for me to ask the owner for hourly for a few months until business picks up? What would you do?I am a Nail Tech starting out to build my clientele. My salon is paying me 50% commission and I supply my?
Definitely salary first, then commission. You need a clientele to work only based off of commision. Being someone who was taking Esthetics, and a current Makeup Artist, I know how difficult it is to start out in this business.

Minimum wage here is $8.00 so it doesn't seem a lot to me, especially for someone who is certified, however depends on where you live. You can sit down and discuss it with the owner, just tell them you misjudged it, and find it would be easier right now to work from a salary base, rather then commission. Once you do get a good clientele going and establish that, you can switch back over to commission, where you can make a mint doing Nail Tech.

Good luck with your career!I am a Nail Tech starting out to build my clientele. My salon is paying me 50% commission and I supply my?
you should be making salery plus commission and your best bet is going to be booth rental that way you pay a flat rate to shop and the rest is yours to keep, you also get to name your days and time you work, this really the only way to go but for now commissiom is good until you build a clientel good luck on your new adventure

Will my low budget cemetery idea catch on? I supply the lots, shovels, wood and nails and my customers do?

the rest at a huge savings. The service will be conducted by a hologram of the funeral director and accompanied by a recorded program. Paper flowers will fill the room. Will my low budget cemetery idea catch on? I supply the lots, shovels, wood and nails and my customers do?
Well, ya got a problem here. I already have that market sewed up.

My low cost service, $29.95, is a top seller. Really very simple. I tie a gopher to each foot of the dearly departed and fire a warning shot. Will my low budget cemetery idea catch on? I supply the lots, shovels, wood and nails and my customers do?
What about a Drive-In funeral, where you drive up to the first vacant one-plot-fits-all space and simply slide the coffin off your back seat into the hole? If it's not big enough, you just ask the attendant to ';Supersize me';. You can pay the fee by credit card at the machine located at the exit barrier. A nice idea would be to incorporate an automated car-wash too .....
I like the idea, but what about just wood, gas and a match. Land is getting expensive these days. Or maybe 1/4 size lots to bury people standing up. Not much of an answer but I'm for it.
It depends on how much money people really save over the traditional funeral.

That and if the whole scheme is 100% lawful...
I love it!!! I'm not payin for the hologram though, I will just order a singing telegram for the eulogy.
I think it depends on who your customers are.
Great idea.

Do you offer a lay-away plan ?
Will I have to bury myself? You should install a cremation-o-matic too with a coin dispenser.
Nah there is nothing like the human touch
I don't know maybe, I don't see people that sad who would want to bury them themselves.
Not for me.

Maybe my cheapo friends.

I dont want to take up any space on earth when I'm dead.
lol

I want to do acrylic nails for money during school and the summer. but i dont know where to get the supplies.?

At Professional Beauty supply stores, these stores usually require a cosmetologist license. Sally's beauty supply might also sell acrylic supplies (open to public)

How much are the supplies for gel toes nails and where can I buy them? Online?

Yesterday I got my toenails done with the glitter gel toes and it seemed really easy. She had the gel stuff, and after she filed my nails a little she just poured the glitter on, shook off the extra, and then put my toenails underneath this light apppartus. WELL... I don't want to pay the 45 it costs everytime I want this done or the 20 to get them filled so I was wondering if it is harder than it looks or where I can buy these supplies so I can do my toenails myself?!?How much are the supplies for gel toes nails and where can I buy them? Online?

  • I want to open a wholesale nail supply store?

I suppose you want to know how to open a nail supply store?

Do you mean Finger nails, or hardware nails?

Wholesale means warehouse price... so unless you're making the products yourself, you won't make any profits if you just buy warehouse priced items and sell them.

If you want to start your bussiness, you first need to have a bussiness plan. Google that up, there's pleanty of examples :P

Then you will need to rent out some space, take out a bussiness loan, and have a license. You will be paying alot of bills, so make sure you think this trough. If you make no profits from this job, then all that will come of it is bills to pay. Start out small and grow from there. Most small bussinesses don't make profit for about 4-5 years after they open the bussiness.

Get the word out before you open. Tell friends. Make fliers. Internet. Etc.

Really, this qestion would be easier to answer if I knew what the qestion was :DI want to open a wholesale nail supply store?
Good for you. But whats your damn question?I want to open a wholesale nail supply store?
    hardware store sounds better .
    cool
cool, but what is the question. remember always keep the store running smooth, not cheaters allowed

    Acrylic Nail supplies?

I want to start doing my own acrylic nails.

i know how to do them...

    i watched youtube videos.

but i want to know what you need.

    why you need it

and where you can get it from [stores before websites please]

also if you HAVE to use it.

    like tips.. there a must

but disinfectant spray. you can just use hand sanitizer

thank you for your help...Acrylic Nail supplies?
you going to need, files, brushes, acrylic nail powder and bonding liquid, acid primer. and tips and super glue.. you can get all this stuff at SALLYSAcrylic Nail supplies?
well usually you get these products from beauty supply stores, lots of hair styliest go to get there hair products, and a lot of places sell hair products along with nails, waxing, other equipment.

but you need a licence to shop there

if u dont have one its hard to get nail stuff unless you know someone

and you would need the acrylic and brushes, tools for manicures
You should take an OPI course for this before you do this. Using hand sanitizer instead of disinfectant spray is not the right thing to do. There is a reason salons and professional nail techs use the products they use. I would try Sally Beauty supply to get your things. Its all together in one section.
dont use acrylic nails. they will damage the nails and have mold and nasty stuff like that come in and you can loose your nail.
